המודעה כתובה בלשון זכר אבל ההצעה מיועדת לגברים ונשים

הכישורים הדרושים כתנאי להצגת המועמדות הם:

• רופא שיניים DMD או DDSבעל תעודת מומחה באנדודונטיה.
• ניסיון קליני עשיר, של 10 שנים מיום סיום ההתמחות, בכל תחומי התחום.
• רצוי ניסיון ויכולת מוכחת בניהול וארגון של צוות רופאי שיניים, מדענים, סייעות בהיקף גדול. יכולת ניהול ועבודה בצוות רב-תחומי עם אחריות לשירות קליני, הוראה ומחקר.
• מינוי אקדמית של לפחות דרגת מרצה בכיר באחד מהמסלולים הקיימים (או בתהליך לקבלת הדרגה) במוסד להשכלה גבוהה מוכר בישראל או במוסד אקדמי מוכר בחוץ לארץ המאפשר קבלת מינוי אקדמי בבית הספר לרפואת שיניים של האוניברסיטה העברית ו"הדסה".
• ניסיון רב בהוראה לסטודנטים ומתמחים, הן בהוראה חזיתית והן בקבוצות להוראה ליד המתרפא.
• ניסיון בניהול מחקר וביצועו, בהיקף רחב, במימון מקורות תחרותיים, כולל בינלאומיים (יתרון), וע"י צוות מחקר.
• רשימת פרסומים נאותה ומתאימה לתפקיד זה.

המינוי הינו לשש שנים, כאשר השנתיים הראשונות הן שנות ניסיון. בתום הקדנציה המלאה של שש שנים, קיימת אפשרות להארכה לארבע שנים נוספות. לאחר תום כהונתו כמנהל מחלקה במשך שש שנים לפחות, יועסק המנהל במחלקה ותנאי העסקתו יהיו כשל מנהל יחידה.

The Hadassah School of Medicine and the Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine are firmly rooted within its hospitals, fostering the next generation of medical and dental professionals.

The qualifications for applying for this position are:

1. A DMD or DDS Dentist with a certification of specialization in Endodontics.

1. A minimum of 10 years of extensive clinical experience in all aspects of the field, starting from completion of residency.

1. Extensive experience and proven ability in organizing and leading a large staff of dentists, nurses, and other healthcare personnel. Ability to provide clinical and educational leadership within a complex multidisciplinary environment with responsibility for clinical services, teaching and research.

1. An academic rank of at least senior lecturer (or in the process of attaining this rank)in a recognized Israeli school of higher education or in a recognized academic institution outside Israel, which will allow the applicant to qualify for a senior academic appointment at the Hebrew University School of Dentistry.

1. Extensive experience in educating students and residents, both as a lecturer and through hands-on patient care.

1. Preferred: experience in organizing and conducting research, with a track record of successfully obtaining competitive national and international grant funding.

1. An adequate and suitable list of publications, as fitting for this position.

The position is for 6 years, with the first 2 years being probationary. At the end of 6 years there is the possibility of a 4-year extension.

After at least 6 years as department head, continued employment will be within the Department of Pediatric Dentistry with conditions of employment corresponding to that of a unit head.
